Pole Theatre is the hottest pole dance competition series in the world, with events in over 20 countries around the world. Pole Theatre USA debuted in Denver in 2015, grew in Boulder in 2016, and is now back at the Oriental Theater in Denver for year three!

Pole Theatre showcases the wide range and variety in pole dance performance art, with four different categories for the competitors to choose from. Our finalists in Pole Art will use a distinct dance style like ballet or tango to interpret an artistic concept. In Pole Drama our competitors perform a full story from beginning to end. Pole Comedy is all about making the audience – and judges – laugh. And Pole Classique honors the roots of pole dance with sensual, sexy performances in heels.

See the rising stars of the pole world compete in our Semi-Pro Division at 3pm! After Semi-Pro, you can go out for dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants within walking distance to the Oriental, then come back to see the Professional Division take the stage at 8pm.

Our emcee for both shows is Michelle Shimmy, a Sydney-based pole dancer, instructor and co-owner of the Pole Dance Academy, and co-creator of the Pole Theatre franchise. Shimmy has performed and competed all over the world, and we could not be more excited to have her back on our stage!

Our judges this year are Maddie Sparkle, Marion Crampe, Steven Retchless, Marlo Fisken, Kenneth Kao, and Michelle Stanek.

Surrounding the competition is a weekend packed with workshops with your favorite pole instructors from around the world. Our workshops are all held in pole and dance studios, which means no stage poles and carpet flooring, and never more than 2 people per pole. Workshops are available for purchase at http://poletheatreusa.com/workshops

Colorado is an athlete’s playground, with scenic hiking and outdoor activities, and healthy food on every corner. Flying into Denver is easily accessible from all over the country, and thanks to the airbnb economy it’s easy finding a place to stay in the Denver/Boulder area … as long as you book your trip early!

As Pole Theatre is taking place on Labor Day weekend, we highly recommend that you book your accommodations well in advance as the entire city of Denver is often completely sold out of rooms during the late summer/early fall season.
