$75.00Event Navigation
The 125th Anniversary Celebration of Historic Elitch Theatre will come to a grand finale with the “Art of Wine” event featuring musical guests Mary Louise Lee and Chris Daniels and the Kings. The event will take place in Lakewood Country Club’s ballroom on the 19th of November, from 6:30 to 10:00pm. Proceeds from the event will go towards the continued efforts of the Historic Elitch Theatre board to breathe life into this national iconic landmark through entertainment, performances, educational programming and restoration.
Local and national artists will be participating in a “Meet and Greet” with their donated silent auction masterpieces throughout the evening. This will be a great time to meet featured photographer, Evan Semon and converse with him on what it is like to be the photographer for Denver’s Governor Hickenlooper, the Denver Broncos and the NFL. His images of Peyton Manning and Von Miller at the Super Bowl Parade are priceless.
The live auction will be sparked by a stunning, one-a-kind, miner cut diamond ring designed by local jeweler Sarah Ortega from Sarah O’. This extraordinary piece was designed in honor of Mary Elitch and will become part of a Sarah O’ collection for future fundraising. For the sport enthusiasts there will be 2 courtside Denver Nuggets seats and gamers will love the PacMan/Ms. PacMan Standup 13 Game Arcade. Golfers and chillers in the crowd will have an opportunity to bid on a four bedroom home at a relaxing island, golf, beach house in North Carolina.
Wine enthusiasts will be applauding the two awarding winning 125th commemorative wines from Italy. Both will be enjoyed through the wine tasting event and ticket purchases. Each bottle will be labeled with our 125th collector’s label designed by local artist Amanda Villalobos. The Cabernet Franc will be for those who enjoy a charismatic red wine with notes of wild berries and herbs. The Friulano, which is made from 100% Friuli’s native grapes, will delight those who prefer a dry white wine. The delicate notes of pear, acacia blossoms and honey is a great pairing for salads, fish, pasta, cheese and any Italian style salumi platters. Both wines are naturally low in sulfites and very enjoyable on the palate. Wine Collector ticket holders will take home one of the commemorative wines as part of their ticket purchase. Additional purchases can be made at the event and are a great consideration for holiday gifts.
